Spring Break Days Out

Last week was Spring Break for the kids and they were quite excited about a little rest from school.  We talked about taking a road trip, but as the week got closer we decided to just take some day trips and hang around the house the rest of the time.  We went to the zoo . . . but there are no pictures of that.  Went to take the first pic and realized there was no card in the camera.  Happens to me a lot. We went to the beach and made sure we took the kites, sand toys and football.

 Bowen brought home lots of sand.

 It was a gorgeous day on the beach.

 Sunny and warm enough to just be in our t-shirts.

 Rylan said it was his favorite day of the week.

 Bowen liked it too.

 At the end of the week we took a trip up to Olympia to visit the Capital buildings.  We had a little bit of a scavenger hunt and found different memorials

 and walked through the Legislative Building and learned some different facts about it and saw where the Washington senators meet.  I have never been to the capital in all the years I have lived in Washington so it was an educational trip for me as well!

It was hard to go back to school schedules on Monday.  We have this Friday off too for a teacher's in-service so we get another little break very soon!

Here We Are!!

Its been a couple of months since I tried to post some pictures on our rrrealfrank blog (http://rrrealfrank.blogspot.com/) and was told I couldn't add any more pictures.  So here I am starting over.  Because it is so fun for us to look back at all the things we have done over the last couple of years we have blogged.  It works really well as a scrapbook!   And its nice for any of you family out there who might want to see it too!!  So with no further ado . . . here are some pictures!!

Another bright spot in the day - after a wonderful Easter service Alaina was baptized!
